The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has announced its 2024/25 season calendar and a new set of strategies focused on innovation and digitalization.
The inauguration took place at the KCB Leadership Center in Karen, Nairobi, where KVF President Charles Nyaberi emphasized the importance of adopting global best practices, especially in the field of technology.
As part of the digitalization campaign, the federation has introduced several reforms, including a new website for live streaming matches, live scoring and extensive social media initiatives designed to engage fans more effectively.
Nyaberi emphasized that this campaign will create many opportunities, generate and develop new ideas for players and stakeholders.

“The goal going forward is to increase the visibility, popularity and commercial value of volleyball in Kenya by building a strong brand, attracting more fans, increasing media coverage and securing sponsorships,” Nyaberi said.
KVF also showcased its various programs and products, including the KVF National League, the Malkia Strikers women’s national team, KVF Youth Development, KVF Beach Volleyball, and the Wafalme Stars men’s national team.
President of the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) Paul Tergat praised the federation’s bold steps in advancing the sport.

“At NOC, we recognize the important role volleyball plays in raising the profile of Kenyan sport globally. The launch of KVF this season marks a significant step forward in our shared vision to inspire, empower and build champions.
The road to LA 2028 and Dakar 2026 starts now. Together with our partners, we are committed to nurturing talent and creating pathways for our athletes to excel on the world stage.”
Peter Tum, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Creative Economy and Sports, expressed similar sentiments, stating that, “This is an exciting moment for Kenyan volleyball, marking a season that is sure to bring new energy and engagement to the sport.

By embracing digital marketing, KVF is setting new benchmarks and positioning itself at the forefront of the modern sports industry.”
The event was attended by KVF officials, national teams, National League players, sponsors and representatives of the Ministry of Sports.
The 2024/2025 KVF League will kick off on October 31 and November 1 in Nyeri, with the top teams expected to compete for early league dominance.
